Celebrating Success - 13th May 2008

This event took place on 13 May at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough stadium and was an opportunity for project staff to exchange ideas and information and to showcase their achievements. It was attended by around 150 delegates from across South Yorkshire. Prof Danny Dorling gave the keynote speech. Danny is one of the key researchers into participation in HE. The event featured exhibitions, outstanding performances by Edlington School Choir and Rotherham College's 'Foundation Degree in Performing Arts Students' Band'. There was also a session with songs and a specially written poem from Ray Hearne, well known Rotherham broadcaster and performer

There were also presentations from several of the current projects outlining their activities and achievements, along with a range of stands and displays from the full range of South Yorkshire Aimhigher projects.
