Healthcare Science Careers Seminar: Wednesday, 10 March 2010
Organised by Aimhigher South Yorkshire, and supported by Aimhigher South Yorkshire Healthcare Strand partners, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust and Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, this event is free to attend and would be of particular benefit to teachers and IAG professionals.
Our venue for this seminar will be The Core in the centre of Barnsley. This is a great new venue. Easily accessible from Barnsley Rail/Bus Interchange or by car with ample pay and display parking adjacent.
The seminar aims to provide information to teachers and IAG professionals on education and training routes in the exciting and challenging Healthcare Science sector. It will also promote opportunities for learners in schools and Further Education colleges to progress into Higher Education and careers requiring higher level skills in this area.
The programme will commence with registration and refreshments at 9:00 (for 9:30 start) and will run until 12:30. It will feature speakers from local NHS trusts , training, and further and higher education. The seminar will close with a plenary session during which attendees will be able to ask questions of the speakers. This will be followed by a buffet lunch. Further information and materials will be available for delegates to take away.
