Every year Aimhigher Derbyshire join forces with the University of Derby to provide young people from across the East Midlands with a taste of higher education that is both inspirational and realistic.

Many of these pupils come from family backgrounds with no experience of university; some have never set foot on a campus before; often they have little idea of the benefits higher education can bring.

The aim of the summer school is to increase awareness of the huge range of opportunities available through Higher Education. We hope that participants discover that although university life involves a lot of hard work and commitment it is also fun and rewarding.

Summer school places are allocated on a school basis, so contact your Head of Year to see if your school is eligible.
