You can ring the college course-enquiry line, or you can get get hold of a copy of the college prospectus. Or you can visit the college on a visit day or taster day.
What’s a prospectus ?
A prospectus is a brochure or booklet that gives information about a college and about the courses offered at that college. It usually tells you what courses are available, what facilities the college has and what student life is like.
How can I get a prospectus ?
You can get a prospectus by:
calling in at the college
phoning and asking the college to send you one
going to the college website for the information
requesting a prospectus online.

Use the college prospectus to find out more about the college and the courses and facilities that it can offer you.
How do I choose a course ?
You choose a course that you are interested in studying and then fill out an application form. You can get an application form from the college.
What’s an application form ?
These are sometimes a bit off-putting because they look very official and unfriendly. You’ll need to fill in an application form so that the Admissions Team can know enough about you to give you the best possible advice and ensure you get on the right course. They need to make a record of such things as your:
full name
address
telephone number
date of birth
previous qualifications, such as O levels or GCSEs.
