What are postgraduate courses?

Some people find university so rewarding and interesting that they continue with their studies and go into their subject in more depth, perhaps studying for a postgraduate Diploma or a Master's degree.

Some people decide to study for postgraduate qualifications by research. When someone studies for a postgraduate research degree they spend their time conducting experiments, conducting surveys, running projects and studying books, manuscripts and documents in archives and libraries. Successfully completing a research degree means you could gain either a Masters degree or an academic Doctorate (a PhD).

You could study in well-equipped science labs.
