Do I get time abroad?

Some courses include time abroad, for example on Language courses, where you spend time learning the language in the country of origin or Business courses where you study business practices in Europe.

On those courses you will study overseas for a set time, possibly only a month or maybe for up to a year. You will be given help to find somewhere to live and in getting settled. Sometimes these courses are called "sandwich courses" because they 'sandwich' time abroad or in work experience in between periods of theoretical study.

Even if your course does not include organised time abroad, you might be able to apply for a European grant to study abroad. This option would have to be agreed with your course organisers.
