How will I learn?

What is it like to study at university ?

You do different types of work depending on your subject. Reading and writing, practical work, lectures and seminars, projects and experiments are just some of the ways in which university students learn.

Unlike school, university learning can involve a lot of independent reading and research which the student conducts outside structured lessons. Support is usually given by tutors who guide and support the individual as they learn.

The main thing to remember is that universities want you to do well, and will do all they can to help you. This is your chance to study the subject you are really interested in.

Lecture Hall
Lectures take place in large halls.
